Ashley Hawthorne

Microblading Technician

Hi, my name is Ashley and I am the owner of Hawt Beauty Bar, now located inside Lonesome Blonde!  I am a certified microblading technician with a passion for giving my clients the ability to wake up with flawless brows.  The effects of microblading are different than brows with a "made up" look.  The goal with microblading is to have the most natural feather-like hair strokes, with a 3-D look that most resembles real eyebrow hair.  I have two years experience performing microblading and have performed the procedure hundreds of times.  My goal is for my clients not only leave my studio feeling satisfied, but also for them to leave feeling more beautiful and confident than ever before!

What is microblading exactly?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo where a handheld manual tool with very tiny angled needles is used to make fine, feather-like 3-D hair strokes.  These eyebrow hair strokes mimic the look of real eyebrow hair.  The end result is a natural brow look versus a powder/combo/ombre brow that looks more like makeup, or an actual tattoo that has more of a solid shape.

What is the process?

First, I will consult with you one on one on whether you are an ideal candidate for the procedure.  We will discuss things like your desired look, your skin type, medical contraindications, etc.  Some clients are more cautious than others, and I will work with you to ensure you are as comfortable as possible and get you the exact look that you desire.  After the consultation, there are two steps; the first is the initial session and the second is the mandatory perfecting session which will be six to eight weeks later.

Are you a candidate for microblading?

An ideal candidate for microblading should:

  • Not be pregnant or nursing

  • Discontinue use of any skincare products containing Retin-A or Retinol for at least 2 weeks before procedure

  • Not have had Botox for at least 2 weeks before procedure

  • Not be on any blood thinning medications
